Then he took a loaf of bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me." - - Luke 22:19

In a previous life, I played the blues
on Beale Street in Memphis.

About the Author
    Happily married 38 years, my wife and I just completed our 8th consecutive year teaching Sunday school for junior high and senior high aged students. I can't think of a more fun bunch I'd rather spend time with. I've told them many times that one of the most intimate things we as humans can do is to feed one another. The Bible is chock full of stories about meals, food, preparing the food, figuring out how to come up with enough food, etc. Read and enjoy, and remember to love one another. :)

Those of you who don't know me
may be surprised to learn
of my Christian Faith.
I offer you this powerful prayer
in the hope that you will be as moved
by it as I am.

Listen and you will hear:

Almighty God, unto whom all hearts are open,

all desires known, and from whom no secrets are hid:

Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts

by the inspiration of thy Holy Spirit,

that we may perfectly love thee,

and worthily magnify thy holy Name;

through Christ our Lord.

Amen.
